Provide Data Support to a team of Equity Analysts

Macquarie Securities Group encompasses Macquarie's institutional stockbroking, equity derivatives and equity finance activities. MSG utilises its skills in research and risk management to develop equity-based financial solutions and services for clients globally. Providing analysis and market intelligence across key industry sectors, Macquarie Research has one of the largest research teams in the Asia pacific region and has a significant presence in the UK, North America and South Africa. With increased sector coverage the opportunity to expand our team of database administrators is now available. We seek a highly motivated, service-focussed individual.

In this role, you provide support across a range of administrative and client-servicing responsibilities. These will include issuing clients with daily, weekly and monthly data requests as well as to ensure they are receiving the data they require, responding to ad-hoc requests from analysts and clients and checking published data against information contained in the database and then following up of variances. In addition to generating data for publications, a key element to the role will the your ability to monitor and maintain quality data and to distribute client error reports to analyst as identified.

You will:

  • be degree qualified and possess advanced knowledge of Ms Excel and intermediate Ms Office skills
  • display a high level of technical and analytical abilities as well as sound verbal and written communication skills
  • have gained some experience in database maintenance where manipulation has been a requirement
  • demonstrate a flexible, adaptable and willing work approach; enjoy working hard and contributing to a successful team environment
