Director - Corporate Finance & Capital
BlackRock’s Finance team is responsible for the accounting, financial reporting, tax compliance and control of the financial resources of BlackRock and its subsidiaries. The Finance Group is comprised of four units: Accounting Policy, Tax and Controls; Business Finance; Treasury and Risk Management; and Corporate Controllers.
We are searching for a Sr. level finance professional to serve as the Firm’s Director of Corporate Finance and Capital. The Director will support the Firm’s plans for and the analysis and execution of the firm’s long-term capital structure requirements and with capital allocation matters. The core responsibilities include but are limited to:
Job Description:
Providing advanced funding/investment analysis on current and proposed debt and equity capital markets instruments, including all derivative products to determine costs and/or benefits of pre and after-tax basis.
Execution of financial transactions, including managing and performing live pricing with underwriters at major international and domestic financial institutions.
Identifying market opportunities for refinancing the Firm’s debt for recommendations to Sr. management. Conduct in-depth investigation and evaluation of funding proposals in the global debt and equity capital markets, including complex structured transactions with imbedded derivatives such as swaps and options.
Verify related pricing model calculations to ensure the Company achieves optimal market pricing. Coordinate review of such transactions and related documentation with tax, legal and accounting. Determine marketing requirements for the successful absorption of new issuance
Manage the capital allocation framework and methodology that supports the integration of risk into performance measurement.
Manage excess capital resource decisions. Forecast the company’s balance sheet, cash flow statement and short term cash position, interest and non operating expenses.
Determine the optimal size and structure of required revolving credit facilities including pricing, management structure, timing and terms. Participate in the negotiation of terms and conditions. Assist in marketing the transaction to potential bank group. Handle review of documentation including close scrutiny of all terms, conditions and covenants to ensure the most advantageous terms for the related credit rating.
Develop annual presentation for the credit rating agencies (Moody’s and S&P) on the historical and forecast results of the firm in a complete and accurate manner to help ensure appropriate credit ratings are assigned. Review periodic credit rating agency draft publications to ensure the public likewise receives accurate information on the firm.
Assist Strategy group on evaluation of funding requirements and costs for strategic transactions.
Assist in management of all aspects of capital committee matters including developing agendas, preparing and reviewing materials.
Skills Required:
Qualified candidates must demonstrate the following to be considered a viable candidate:
10 + years of progressive experience in a corporate treasury entity strongly preferred.
MBA in Finance required.
Strong analytical skills and in-depth knowledge of financial evaluation techniques.
