The Position: The Sponsored Products Marketing group supports Wellington Management's fund businesses globally. A Sponsored Products Marketing Analyst works closely with Marketing Managers on both a strategic and tactical level to grow the firm's sponsored products' assets. The position involves working closely with other areas of the firm including Product Management, Marketing Information Group, Design Services, Legal and Compliance, Global Relationship Group, and Information Services.
Specific responsibilities include: • Creating and updating various marketing materials including: Factsheets, Fund Highlights, Fund Profiles, Fund presentations, Case for Investing, FAQs, and brochures • Adapting internal documents to varied audiences (intermediary, high net worth, plan sponsors, plan participants) • Expert knowledge of the factsheet automation tool • Monitoring competitors' materials and public sites • Ad hoc research projects on industry trends and developments • Providing analytical input to marketing projects such as new fund proposals, financial product reviews, and client analyses • Assisting in the preparation of presentations • Coordinating the production of materials by getting signoff from various groups and working with Design Services to finalize the output
Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Marketing or a related field, a strong academic track record, and 2-5 years of professional experience in both asset management and marketing. Must have the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects while understanding which have priority based on due dates and impact. A strong attention to detail is critical. The position requires high-quality work in an environment that often imposes multiple and conflicting priorities. High energy, a curious nature, and a sense of humor are also required. The candidate will know or quickly learn various desk-top applications required for the position.
Specific skills/abilities include: • Strong writing skills and the ability to think creatively • Ability to follow projects through from beginning to end (from idea generation and development, data gathering and research, to analysis and presentation of results) • Ability to work independently; self-directed • Significant experience in Excel, Access, and Word • MBA or progress towards is ideal
