Morgan Stanley are looking for the very best C++ developers to join its Algorithmic Trading Services Team. You'll be exposed to all areas of the project lifecycle and will focus on development and support of the algorithmic trading products.
Position Description The Algorithmic trading Services team focuses on the development and support of the algorithmic trading products which includes benchmark trading and strategies. This product is a critical part of the IED external client product offering and is available through the firm's FIX and Passport portals as well as many 3rd party vendor OMSs. Members of this team will be exposed to all phases of the product life cycle from analysis, design to implentation and rollout.
Skills Required Technical: Excellent C++ skills; Excellent OO design skills; Good UNIX experience (shell scripting, process management); Good understanding of client-server applications and distributed systems; SQL; Perl. Interpersonal: Good team player who demonstrates integrity. Ability to adopt owner perspective. Ability to work collaboratively across teams; ability to work under time, resource dependencies and constraints; good communication and organisational skills; good problem solving skills; high degree of motivation to expand technical and business knowledge and understanding; performance oriented and highly motivated.
Skills Desired Strong desire to work in a fast paced front office environment. Familiar with the FIX standard interface. Exposure to Equities or Derivatives trading applications. Exposure to Algorithmic Trading is a plus.
