Successful candidates will be given the autonomy to run their own sector specific portfolio in a carve out fashion with compensation being a base and a percentage of PnL.  Thus a mature personality and a stable work background is required. 

Portfolio construction should be based on bottoms-up fundamental research (sector specific is preferred).  Strategies can use macro factors, but they are not looking at macro strategies as the fund is purely equities l/s focused.

Specific sectors of interest are:

Financials, Industrials, Healthcare, Alternative Energy, Commodities and Biotech.  Other sectors will be considered as well.

While not ideal (given the sector specfiic structure of the fund), generalist profiles and strategies that lend themselves to cover multiple sectors i.e. event driven and merger arb will be considered as well as long as fundamental bottoms-up research is the foundation of the research.
